If you have some text in Japanese you want translated into English then try this service. This could be of interest to judoka who have something written on judo in Japanese. But you don’t have to have a judo connection to use the service. As a rough guide to pricing the rate is 10p for every 'squiggle' (Chinese-Japanese Kanji character or kana alphabet). Exact price depends on difficulty and length. Minimum charge of £40 applies. (Special rates for judo related translations)

Syd Hoare lived and trained in Japan for a number of years but also studied at the School of Oriental and African studies (London University) where he graduated in modern and classical Japanese (including classical Chinese) and Japanese history and literature. He also carried on studying at SOAS for his M.Phil in Zen Buddhism.
